Thinking bout it now

If Biggs had on some A/T's he may have been able to drive out of the 1/2 inch of sand that he got stuck in

The H/T's that he had just spin with no traction at all

But that was really interesting to see.. Those HT tyres didn't get any bite in the soft stuff..

you getiing too much like me

even with open diff, some A/T would have made a difference

he didn't stick because of teh mud so much as for a lack of traction

the tyres didn't even go down to rim-deep

It was surprising to me that a 4x4 could stick in that situation even if he running HTs. Especially after the kinida terrain i see the Beast pass through already with no problems... I was and still am shocked.

I think momentum plays a big part in getting\preventing stuck

case in point - scorpion on teh icacos run

he made it far on 2wd, but with momentum

when sweeky was stuck, he stopped before getting stuck

when I was messing around in 2wd before going on teh beach i got stuck in the dead sand, because i stopped and then attempted to start again = stuck

similarly, when we were leaving teh beach, i was experimenting with 2wd in the area with dead sand

I started out in 2wd and was moving forward, when teh dead sand got more loose, i slowed down, but was still moving

I stopped half way and then tried to pull off in 2wd - nutten, just wheel spin

engaged 4H and got moving, then popped it back in 2H and continued moving, but slowly

made it all they way back to teh tarmac in 2H

I attribute that to the Toyo's and momentum

on most of the run i was on 2H, slipping in 4H or 4L where necessary, the seaweed and dead sand was 4L for sure.

i got stuck in some soft mud once jus like biggs, crappy tires and little momentum while trying to turn, i jus sink and wheel spin out, lsd and 4-wheel was no help, had to get a pull...

if biggs had on 4H and a lil more motion he'd make it tru, but i think he was aiming to park in the water.....

This is what momentum can do for you.
Remember this is a 2wd vehicle with almost zero ground clearance and on slicks.
If you look at about 0:50 seconds you will see that he does come off the prepared surface.

In this one they even do a little driving in the surf like Venum

That looking like some SERIOUS "mud" road driving.
Which side would we take it from Toco Main Road or Paria Main Road.

speedaholic wrote:^^^ who suposed to be able to find those cordinates??

Speedaholic it is Toco side. check this site. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/35285579

I am in if people are up to it. We might need some serious recovery gear though.
