^yep,coming down fully loaded,and brake booster decided to give way,thankfully nothing happened to the truck,it was back on the road the next day.

I've seen nissan Quon's with over 1800 lb·ft torque catch their asses to go up with diff lock,crawler gear and hill start assist when rain falls heavy up there,this was sometime ago though,so i dunno if they improved the road since then.

Come through!! Guys, note this course is designed for both fully stock and lightly modified vehicles, no special recovery gears are required, but basic straps etc will be provided if anyone needs them.

Yes! Of course!
Spectators, friends and family are more than welcome to attend and watch the 4x4 action.
4x2 pickups/suvs and regular cars can definitely make it all the way to the quarry, we chose that location specifically for it.

Bring your family, friends and anyone else who interested to watch.

Just be sure to bring your coolers, ice, drinks, umbrellas for shade, chairs, etc.
Be prepared for Hot Sun and possible Rain too!

Because of the large no. of anticipated turnout (remember the official max limit is 30 entries!), we've decided to start the rally a little earlier, so that the convoy can reach down to teh quarry on time.


Here are the new start times:

REGISTRATION & SCRUTINIZING - 7:00AM - 8:00AM
LEAVING CARONI BIRD SANCTUARY - 8:00AM

FIRST VEHICLE ONTO COURSE - 9:00AM SHARP!!

Remember to download and print the registration form, and please put your name down onto the roll call as listed before.
This is to help give us an idea of how many people are coming.
You can also collect and fill out forms at the registration site, but this is limited in number.

Don't forget, registration fee is $50 per vehicle, and each vehicle MUST have a driver and navigator.
Please read and sign the disclaimer forms before handing them in to get registered and scrutinized.


And dont forget, this is a family friendly event. Kids will be around, so please exercise caution with them - look out for kids and look out for your kids.
Also, this is an ALCOHOL-FREE event... NO ALCOHOL is to be allowed on the rally course.
Anyone found in violation will be asked nicely first to cease, then asked to leave the event if they don't comply.

if rain falls, prepare to get dirty, if it doesn't and the sun is out, we will still get u dirty....

in this event, the navigator is mandatory, he can exit the vehicle and allow assistance to his drive (spot him), he might need it.....

a few tents to spectate at some cool vantage points
some very nice prizes and hampers to give out
and a course to test you and your vehicles skills

Rubber boots, steel tip is overkill. I usually navigate up there in converses pretty ok.

correct - Any kind of boots or sneakers should be fine - remember its mud, quarry slushy mud , it comes off easy so a nice wash at the end when you reach home you should be fine. Also advice , bring a change of clothes incase you fall in the mud...

course excavation ops coming along nicely.... got the big navara stuck in a couple places really bad (had to recover it by winching it out...)... i said to myself "This is Perfect!!!"

and we have something called "The WidowMaker" beign prepared for allyuh.... so allyuh men with wives and families, watch out !!!!
