This lady is in dreamland. Whether we like or not we will have to cut expenditure and increase taxes or face another devaluation

Once we get that weight called D PNM off we back,we will rise.

If we don't do that we will stay down like many PNM supporters, who can't seem to understand that there is life after D PNM.

I think you fail to realize how much the PNM is wasting....when UNCOP regains power it will hurt to think back on how much of our precious oil revenues were squandered away.

Has Kamla spoken on free educations plans ... because I have spoken to a number of young people <21 who are under the impression that the uncop will take away free education.

^^ how many people are now going to UWI simply to drink RUM?

Panday was right, he said if you give them it 100% free they will go and play the @ss!!!

But if you make them pay half then they will understand the seriousness of it.

UWI is now producing mostly drunks. Every week is some party, in recent times it has gotten very very bad.

She and others on the UNC platform reiterated many times that they will not take away Gate but expand it to vocational skills training. It was the UNC who started the ball rolling on subsidizing education by introducing dollar for dollar...

But then again most people hear what they want to hear and conveniently dont listen to what was said...

^^ funny how nobody eh remember the UNC dollar for dollar education plan on $7 a barrel for oil.

If was not for UNC dollar for dollar plan then we would have no free tertiary education the PNM just wanted to prove they can do better since manning wife was the minister of education and he wanted she to look good.

I still hold the view people play the @ss when they get it free.

I know of quite a few personally.

^^ ok cool I know that the UNC started the dollar for dollar which made a lot of sense. Alpine you are correct, there are a lot of chldren just wasting time in UWI/UTT and those places should go to students who have thier heart into it, not students who just wants to lime

^^ correct is right my brother.

There needs to be a system in place where the drunks are kicked out and the serious ones are allowed a chance.

When you had to pay to go UWI, people passed with flying colors. Now everybody resitting a million times and every weekend is lime.

Then when those girls come back from a party they get rape cause they drunk and cah see properly.

Dollar for dollar also had the provision for people who couldn't afford to even pay the half to do a means test and once they could prove they could not afford the half would get their entire tuition free.

Sure its nice to get tuition free but in some cases people take advantage of the situation because they haven't paid any money. It would be interesting to see the average GPAs for the tertiary schools over the years to see if there has been a trend downards or if it has remained the same.

I seriously doubt she gonna take away the property tax and if she does then we most likely have going and get a different tax. The money have to come from somewhere, e in a recession and PMN spent out most of the treasury.

^^ funny thing is that tax only came about to pay back for the ministers investments into clico. This was something the govt should have never stand liablilty for.
