I thought we paid taxes to use d roads and not have to sit in traffic
This Gov't cant even meet its responsibalities eg controlling crime, flooding(yes close down caroni who uesd to mentain d drainage systems for alot of trinidad and doh put anyting to replace it efficiently),controlling inflation etc.
The main purpose of any government is to acheive SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT which in now way is happening now. I want anybody to tell me anyting this govt has done since it has come back into office to achieve SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT and yes haters u can deny it but Panday did it on $9 a barrel. We run on over 100 a barrel for so long and have nuttin to show for it cept for a set ah buildings who wont have no companies to use dem in 5 years time.
Yessss we have d 20/20 vision.Lets get developed country status by then. One of the major requirements of being a developed country is Self suffiency yuh know yuh must be able to feed yourself without import in food even if is aloo alone u growin but we gov't say agriculture have no future in TnT. We have we head so fa p usa a** and dem payin farmers to grow food to throw away y dont we do tha same or at least grow some corn so if we doh eat it we cold make somefuel for a"energy based economy".
these are some things i will rem d gov't for ie F@#%ing over our future
oh yeah we mightn't have no panday and robbie to save we dis time cause dooks, ramesh and jack too selfish to save we and panday well let we face it panday rel old and he almost gone crazy

1) Pry Minister meeting the "community leaders" at Crowne Plaza and establishing the CEPEP program as a means of transferring gov't revenues to the gangs. The gangs were also given the authority to carry out kidnappings, murders, extortion all against the small business community of TnT with the assurance that not a single of them would be prosecuted, in exchange for their support of the gov't.

2) Creation of Udecott and appointment of Canadian Calder Hart to chair Udecott as well as 5 other state boards as a means of embezzling billions from the treasury under the guise of "development" through construction projects that have costs that seem to double every year or so.

3) Non occupation of Biche High School- if you've ever been to Biche then you know what kids from there have to go thru every day just to get an education. After having a school built in their area, it was closed for fictitous reasons. Then again Arrogant Imbert is on record in the Hansard as referring to children from rural areas as douen and laga-hoo so we shudn't expect any better.

Maintenance costs for the two airships purchased by Government amounted to more than $26.7 million between 2004 and present, according to figures given by National Security Minister Martin Joseph yesterday.

Joseph was replying to an Opposition question in the Senate yesterday. He said the first airship, Aeros 40B, was retained for six months during which time repairs and routine maintenance were performed on the aircraft. Joseph added, “The cost of these repairs/maintenance, which were covered by the maintenance contract and included in the purchase agreement, amounted to $7,056,050.â€

Exposed
Malaysian documents prove Hart's family affair in award of $300m UDeCOTT contract
Sasha Mohammed CCN Senior Multimedia Investigative Journalist

http://www.trinidadexpress.com/index.pl ... =161603353

Thursday, March 4th 2010

UDeCOTT chairman Calder Hart

The longstanding denials by controversial executive chairman of UDecott, Calder Hart, about family links to a firm he awarded a multi-million-dollar Government contract to five years ago have effectively been debunked by documents recently obtained from the Malaysian Government.

The documents show that his wife, the equally controversial Sherrine Lee Hart, is indeed related to at least one director of the firm in question, CH Development and Construction Ltd.

The disclosure has come a mere day before Hart’s high-powered legal team, headed by top Senior Counsel, Frank Solomon, heads back to the courts tomorrow morning in an effort to block the much anticipated report of the UFF Commission of Enquiry into the Construction Sector and Udecott being published.

It has also led to renewed calls for an immediate criminal probe to be launched into Hart from the leadership of the Congress of the People (COP), Winston Dookeran and Prakash Ramadhar.

The documents in question are the Malaysian passports, birth and marriage certificates of Sherrine Lee Hart, her sister and one of the directors of the firm CH Development Ltd, which got the $360m contract for the construction of the Ministry of Legal Affairs Tower in 2005. That contract was awarded by Hart in his capacity as then chairman of UDeCOTT.

The documents, which were commissioned as part of a legal matter from certain COP heavyweights, are from the official registry of Malaysia, and were obtained by TV6 yesterday.

One shows that Sherrine Lee Hart, whose official name is Lee Soh Wah, was in fact born in Malaysia in 1961.

Her father’s name is listed in this document as Lee Fook Piau and her mother is called Wong Ah Moi.

A second birth certificate, also from Malaysia, shows that, in 1966, Sherrine Lee Hart got a little sister, called Lee Soeh Ching.

This birth certificate records the same parents for her as Sherrine Lee Hart-specifically- Lee Fook Piau as her father and Wong Ah Moi as her mother.

The marriage certificate, which is written both in Malaysian and translated into English, is dated March 19, 1996.

This certificate records that, on this date, Sherrine Lee Hart’s younger sister, Lee Soeh Ching, was married to one Ng Chin Poh. This certificate lists a man called Lee Hup Seng as a witness to this marriage, and states that he’s the brother of Lee Soeh Ching and therefore, Sherrine Lee Hart.

The articles of incorporation for the firm CH Development and Construction Ltd in T&T, dated October 19, 2004, lists Lee Hup Ming and Ng Chin Poh as directors of the firm, which registered its address at No 7, The Park, La Quette, Road, Glencoe.

In 2005, this firm was awarded the $360m contract by Udecott to construct the prestigious Ministry of Legal Affairs Tower, even though documents from the registry of Malaysia show that these men previously were involved in a Malaysian company that dealt, not in any type of construction work, much less work of such magnitude as the Legal Affairs Tower, but rather, a company called Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) which dealt in, according to the Malaysian registry, ’assembling and trading in souvenir and consumer items.’

These documents essentially debunk longstanding denials by Hart under oath at last year’s Commission of Enquiry that he was in no way related to the directors of CH Development.

These allegations were made via an affidavit by Carl Khan, the ex-husband of Sherrine Lee Hart, and in dismissing the allegations in his closing arguments last year at the Commission, Hart’s attorney, Frank Solomon SC, had stated: ’The essential intendment of the declarations of Mr Carl Khan is to prove a relationship between Mrs Sherrine Hart and two other persons whose names appear as directors of Sunway. The first relationship is one of marriage and the second, one of blood.

’As to marriage, this may simply not be alleged. Proof of marriage in law requires the production of at least a certified copy of a marriage certificate of the direct evidence of persons who witnessed the marriage.

Family relationships are to be proved according to the laws regulating matters of pedigree.’

The other previous link between Hart and CH Development was a fax number which was registered as Hart’s private residential line but which appeared on CH’s letterhead. TSTT had confirmed to the Uff Commission last year this was in fact Hart’s private number since 1987, but Hart said its appearance on the CH Development letterhead was because of ’a technical glitch.’

Must give them credit for that.

Wasn't UWI free in pre 1970s and it was PNM who stopped subsidising it??? In Barbados all tertiary education is free for nationals and they dont have any oil money to stand up on...

Also the main purpose for the "free education" is to ensure UTT has enough students to make it a viable venture. I have a friend that lectures at UTT, she gets $40K a month and the other day she told my wife she feels bad cause she has nothing to do all day, she just shows her face twice for the week...

Transferring a 6 year vehicle cost $3000

500+ murders in a year.

UTT slithering its way into education by consuming CARIRI, COSTAT, IMA, NIHERST etc etc and laying off the staff at these institutions.

Summits that made no sense

Lavantillians continuing to suffer but still vote PNM

Tarouba stadium for the 2007 cricket world cup

Still dont know if CEPEP is considered a viable employment organization or a social program

Killing our agricultural sector and closing down caroni

Hundreds of houses built for PNMites only and half of them unlivable

Water shortage in the dry season and massive floods in the wet season

Clearing acres of forest to build a smelter to employ 100 people

More Chinese in the country doing work trinis can do

Removing A-Levels Cambridge which had international recognition

40 Million big ones in "skullerships" given to PNMites and people who could have afforded to pay for their own education and could have studied right here in Trinidad since Gate is free.

140 Million dollar mansion with 2 million dollar drapes

2 million dollar flag

NAPA where steelpan, chutney, tassa not allowed

Increase in fuel prices

Increase in food prices

etc etc etc
