Welcome to the Trinidad & Tobago Drift Association's Forum
This forum in conjunction with
http://www.trinituner.com is meant to aid in the further development of the sport and provide a medium for interaction of like interests.
Established in 2013, the TTDA sought to represent all drifters and groups, formalize drifting, drift events and help get drifting off the streets through formally staged exhibition and training events called "Drift Days" these drift days may have themes but are essentially centered around the discipline. These events create a safe environment for enthusiasts to practice drifting in a controlled environment (usually a wide open parking lot), and offers tutorials by seasoned local drifters. The results have introduced and continue to introduce new drifters and car enthusiasts to the sport while allowing amateur drifters to refine and shape their drifting techniques and get accustomed to the equilibrium of a sideways moving car -- dramatically improving their drifting skills.
Competitions held during the 2013 season saw 8 events being held - 5 in collaboration with Autosport Drag and Wind and 3 All day drift only events entitled "DRiFt MoTiON". Drivers were awarded individual prizes for competition achievements.
For the 2014 season 8 events are also planned where - 3 will be in collaboration wit Autosport Drag and Wind and 5 will be All day drift only events.
The association is working with various stakeholders to ensure that drifting establishes a firm foothold in the motorsport community of Trinidad and Tobago as well as a voice in the national motorsport debate. It seeks to grow by introducing new drivers, elevating skill of participating drivers and hosting of drift events/competitions both locally and regionally.
