I'm looking for the heater tube with connection part# 92408-EB30A for the Nissan Navara. Presently the vehicle is down for this part. Massy has none , ROC none. Can anyone suggest where i can look for this locally?
Apparently this happens a fair amount, mine has a small crack and soon enough I will have to change it so I am looking for it also, how much did the firm quote? Sometimes the south massy has parts and the north doesn't have so call between them
Someone I think in the tech forum here mentioned about a bypass for it but I can't say if it is something that should be attempted but I think we have to hear from any experienced mechanics
Looks like it could easily be bypassed. If what I'm looking at is correct, it's just a short hose with 2 hose clips on end? $1625 seems insane,then again stealer ship prices usually are.
The result was getting a used one from a tuner who was scrapping a van.
Unfortunately the removal of the part from the vehicle improperly caused the aluminium line to bend/kink and the mechanic refused to put up this bent part. This damage was only noticed at the time the line assembly was taken to the mechanic.
The tuner was contacted about the damaged part and he asked that we bring this part back to straigthen(i'm not talking about giving us a refund yet). Imagine trying to straigthen an Al line which is kinked, you run the risk of this breaking.
This was a disappointing situation when you think you're at the point of getting the vehicle up and running and the part sold on tuner was damaged as a result of that tuner's improper handling.
So what we did; (1) Did not go back to that tuner to carry back the part and did not do any further purchases from him (2) Take the old assembly from the mechanic and the damaged assembly purchased, cut each assy in half equally. (3) Join the 2 good halves from each assy using aluminium welding (hats off to guys who did the welding, it was neat) and there we got back one good assembly.
Van is up and running about 2 weeks now without an issue.

Haven't logged in a long time but the company didn't have stock so we had to look around for a new/used one.It seems like a part no one really stocks. The firm was 1625.00 The cost to cut and join the assembly was none /or little to nothing to us really because we were fortunate to have guys who can do this Al welding for us. We were also able to source a new one out Jamaica which is on order. To this day (knocks on wood) the cut/join assy still works.
