So I scored a nudgebar for my truck.
Gonna mod it for some hellas, but I'm not into the chrome look.

Was thinking about spraying it matte black, any tips?

So far I have it down to this.

Clean bar with degreaser.
Sand with 200 grit.
Clean with water
Dry.
Spray with light coat of VHT Rollbar paint
Allow to dry then respray.

DIY should cost a couple hundred bux, maybe a few hours of elbow grease.

Also, where can I get some 3-4mm aluminum sheeting to custom fab a skidplate?

Vex, why would it cost a couple hundred? Should be far less than 100 from the list you gave.

If you really calculated a couple hundred then maybe you should just have it powder coated at Panland in Laventille. I had a chrome roll car powder coated there some years ago for ~$300 and your nudge bar should be even less expensive.

Spray paint -$20
Sandpaper-$6 (220)

Sand it , clean it with gas , wash it with water , let it dry and bomb spray

methinks it's 120 per tin.

Defuq, is it tht cheap to powdercoat?
