Recently I developed a problem with my 2009 VIGO VSC model. After crossing about 120km/hr while driving the van power down and the check light, VSC light and Trac light comes on and continues lighting with little power from the van. When I switch off the van and re-start it clears and all is good until I reaches that speed again. Any suggestions on what is the problem and any solutions.

Well mine is not under warranty. When I look into some forums most of them say someting bout the O2 sensor and gas tank lid. But my van is fairly new, just 45000k's on it. So I'm a bit worried as how it just came off the warranty period.

Had a similar problem end up being the air flow... What's happening as said before the van is going into safe mode... By chance you have a k& n air filter installed?

not sure. I have to check. What is the difference between the K&N and OEM??

Check ur air flow sensor that is the problem most of the time

Update.
Pulled out the air flow sensor myself and sprayed it with some electrical spray. Pulled battery out to reset computer. Made a run, max speed I reached was 125Km/hr, and so far no issues. Will have to make a longer run at a higher speed to see if it comes on again.

Next time u remove it look at the colour of it if it is dark it might need to change had the same problem with mine brought a new one and it is good

when I looked at it; the tip was dark but the stem was silver. Don't know if that is normal??

The tip or the bubble looking thing should look goldish not dark that means it is damaged the van would work good for a time then it would happen again

don't spray your air flow sensor with anything, just wipe it with a dry lint-free cloth.

I had that same problem with my VSC and TC light coming on when my vehicle was doing about 20000kms, turned out the problem was a sensor for the 4wd or something like that... same thing as nick639 said above.

Well in that case I feel I will have to change mine soon. Lol. Even so I think it is slightly comparable to the navara. The Rotors too is a real problem with these vigos though. I trying to see if I get an aftermarket drilled/slotted rotors online. If I get through I will let U all know.

Did you bring it online. And what price did you pay. Really interested in these. Also did those rotors made a huge difference?

They stop that's the most important thing but pedal feel never really felt any difference I brought it online but I shipped it to Canada and received it there and then brought it in my luggage

Update:
Problem stopped for a while when i cleaned the air flow sensor, now it started back. Can you give more detail on that sensor for the 4WD.

Did a scan on the van and the code came up as a Intake Valve Runner Solenoid.
Does anyone know where can I get this to buy and what price it goes for??

Got a new map sensor, and the problem stopped for a while. I have no problem with the high speeds, the van can run well over 130km/hr. But recently I developed a problem in that anytime I stop by a junction or traffic light and pull off from a complete stop, the van goes into fail safe. It happened about 4 times already. It is really annoying because it goes into fail safe at a low speed and I basically have to crawl and pull over to shut-off and restart my van again for the problem to clear.

Any suggestions into what is the problem will be very helpful

This same thing happens to me every couple months for the past 2-3 years. I think is the bad diesel we gets.
What I do is replace the fuel filter with a cheap puralator $45
and washout the fuel canister and dry it properly.
I then pour about 1/2 bottle of amsoil diesel concentrate inside the filter and I'm good to go for a few months again. Van even pulls better.

@ mad. .. what brand of fuel filter you using?

What's the code when you go into limp mode? It'll give you an indication on where to start, could be a sensor on it's way out.
If the ECU stores errors, get all the last codes pulled asap.

Did a scan, and it detected a fuel leak (large leak). The mechanic advise me to do a flush on the system first. So I did the flush and for two days straight no issues. But he told me that there is a sensor at the intake manifold that usually goes bad with these symtoms present. Unfortunately they don't sell the sensor alone. They sell the entire manifold as a whole unit for $7000. So I am hoping I could get a sensor online. If anyone has one to sell please contact me.
Also on a next note I saw a lot of vigos (approx 4) on the mechanic yard that doing an engine overall. So apprantly these so called Unbreakable Hilux are very Breakable.

I will update on any issue I have again and any fix I do to my van.
