Have to bump this thread for a bess service. Whites pull me out of a jam with my gearbox for my ford ranger. Really cool guy and efficient , carried my box by him 7pm in the night and by 10:30 pm my box was scraped and he called and told me what parts i need to get. Got back the box in 3 days. Not a problem at all with it. All the parts you can get by southern sales.

nice.. Mr white... im hearing a squeaky noise coming from the Clutch fork area in my Gbox..
how ever the noise stops if i jus sightly press the clutch pedal..
could u fix this?

where can i get the B2500 bushings for the gear selector lever? it has real play and can cause the wrong gear to be put in, like 5th instead of 3rd.

also, it goes straight from 5th to reverse. isn't there supposed to have some mechanism to stop this from happening?

recently bought van...just want to know in general, what does a foreign used gearbox (4x4) go for? would it be feasible to buy one and change out? they usually give warranty.

Southern sales would have the bushing. Foreign used gearbox is around $12k with 7 days warranty not knowing how long it will last.. I can rebuild it and you'll certainly save money and get way more service out of the box than a foreign used. please explain what you meant by saying its going from 5th to reverse.

i bought the bushing kit for $30 and got it changed. there's no play now.

i mean if you select the gears, when you put it in 5th and then change again straight down, it should stop at N and do not do into R. however i dont think this is happening and it can mistakedly be put into R from 5th!
