I have my 4x4 about the same time now doing about 8000km & I have been getting the same squeaking noise from the rear for about a week now. Going in to Toyota this week to have it sorted out. Also, where can I get the lithium grease?

trini_darkside, do like Paullct said, if you're still getting the problem, it's probably just your springs. I know it's weird hearing your relatively new truck sounding like an old school fish van, but you have to remember, regardless of how new or expensive, these trucks have a leaf spring set up in the rear. In the case with our sportero, I found out that they come with teflon inserts in between the leaf springs, and with normal use, these inserts gradually wear away and you end up with the squeaking in the rear. The lithium grease is not going to be a permanent fix, but it should at least give you a squeak free ride for at least a few weeks :P

had this issue with my navara....im hearing a little squeak on my hilux but nothing worrying. sprayed some grease on it and would have it properly greased when it goes in for service

the teflon missing is the major issue and a lot of the times, when vehicles go for underwash etc is when this falls out. if the firm doesn't have the replacement, just buy some teflon and install it
