Mazda B2500 RFW Issue

Postby oro » March 6th, 2013, 10:27 am

Hi guys I have a Mazda B2500 4x4 late set of B2500 before they switched to BT-50. My problem is I used the 4x4 2 weeks ago and noticed the RFW light would come back on when I started the van.

When its on pressing the RFW switch will switch off the light. But if I shutoff and start back it will immediately be on. 4x4 is working as I've tested this so I believe the issue is the hubs are not unlocking. I've check the vacuum lines and all seems ok. Checked 2 plugs next to break master cylinder and they are working & connected as far as I can tell. Anyone get any idea what to check now? I have the Mazda B2500 service manual but its not much help on this. Anyone got any idea what I check next?

hey, I had this problem, I had recently changed my Clutch plate and pressure plate and having used the 4x4 i got this problem

From what I was told is that there is a "device" on the fire wall on the vehicle that is to be serviced that would stop it from coming on. I am from Tobago so i carried it to Jones Motors and they sorted me out

sorry i not able to tell you exactly what to do to rectify the issue.

p.s plz dont drive with the RFW light on.

check for leaks in the tube from the relay to the actuator under the van.......
if when u press the button the light comes off then thats your problem?

i followed the line and it seems fine. The actuator it goes to under the van in the middle does nothing when the switched is used. I would expect it to click so this leads me to believe it is faulty. Its is getting power as i verified that same time.
