yeah tuners,who does independant front suspension swap to solid axle on hilux

lol..havent really seen that done here in trinidad...would take a lot of R&D to do tho so make sure the hilux aint your DD

have all the tools and mechanical experience.
thinking about doing it myself, test drive and adjust to suit.
Or buy the older version chassis and transfer parts.

Option #2 is what i would go for, though excessive you are basically putting 2 vehicles together and welding to the ladder chassis rather than a clusterfuck of parts which may be more of a headache.

2 guys in SA did this already, for me the most crucial part is the line up of the front axle mounts.
remember everthing in the front will have to change and the front drive ratio needs to be equal to the rear.

it can be done, and has been done all over US and even Au....

but i would say its kinda worthless, unless u into real rock crawling sheit.....

if u jus out to build a tuff rig, have the money+tools+knowledge, then
get a IFS lift kit for the hilux and build a 8" front diff its called a "supralux" diff, using components from the Supra IRS and Hilus IFS, that has been proven to be idiot tolerable!!!

actually since they do not make front lockers for the ranger, its not a bad idea.
