i have a 2008 isuzu dmax 2.5 turbo rwd .mileage is around 103km.change all fluids on time.even changed the gearbox oil recently at about 90,000km.gearbox worked great until the 4th gear started to get a little stiff to go in.it doesnt grate the gears ,it is just a little stiff.the other gears are easier to go in.The problem seems to be the same when the vehicle is off.however if when the vehicle is off and i attempt to change into 4th gear a number of times it gets softer to go into the 4th gear.the other gears dont have this problem.anyone have any idea what could cause this.is this signs of a bigger problem to come.gearbox fluis is good.clutch fluid is good.any mechanics on the forum who can share some advice or even assist me in correcting whatever problem i may have.also anyone who knows some one with a gearbox for this vehicle for sale?

thanks.

Did you use the correct gearbox fluid?
What does the owner's manual call for?
What did you use?

hi this is a common problem with the isuzu gearbox. What basically happen is that there is a bearing located inside the 4th gear :also know as the input shaft" that starts to fail. When this happen it trows the 4th gear out of aligment, thus making it difficult to go in @ time. I have all parts and recondition gearbox for this and other pick up. you can PM or contact me @ 361 4048
