this guide should be changed at 95000km.......for safety reasons......tend to crack n get into the system....

Ppl with chain drive engines often neglect to service the chain drive components because it isn't a timing belt, but it needs servicing all the same

yup i was doing some research on the 04 pajero...thought i had to do this but i am the 4m40....it doesnt have this guide....sohc......... but the for the 41 this is a common overlook...

Resurrecting an old thread here. I bought my 4m41 L200 at 100,000kms last October and it's at 147,000kms now and I did overlook the chain system. My question is whether it's just the guide that has to be changed or everything in there?

Guide for the dohc chain. Simple procedure. ...

when u changing, u can just change the guide, but depending on the stretch of the chain, you should change all guides and tensioner
