The WLT engine is rated at 110HP and 270NM / 202lb/ft of torque.
It's not a powerhouse like the 3.0L TDCI Ford WEC engine, nor the 2.5L Di YD25DDT engine in the Navara - but the power:weight ratio is adequate for that class of truck, and the gear-ratios are very well matched for power delivery (one reason why I had liked the Ranger so much at first).
It's not a sports-car that you're driving, nor a fass-up SR20.
Your truck is designed for pulling-power, not top speed.
Try fitting a cold-air intake with a conical filter, or even fitting a snorkel (which can act as a CAI)... and putting on a 2 1/2" pipe on the exhaust - anything bigger than 2 1/2" and you'll lose too much back-pressure on the exhaust.
Well said and 100% agree. My little BT 50 has rescued so many pick ups - man the gearing is really powerful

SSL has no plans whatsoever to bring in th e 3.0 TDCI (aka 3.0 MDE-CR) BT-50 to trinidad.
They figure they don't have enough market for it (whut??) to sell profitably.
Someone should've shown them the figures for the Ranger.
