Mazda BT50 Tyre Options

Hi Guys,

Just bought a BT50 4x4 with the 16" rims. The stock 245 tyre seems narrow. Can 265 or 275 width tyres fit on the stock rim without touching when cornering?

If so what tyre do you recommend?

(I did search but could not find much)

the mazdas and the fords can run the same combo. older fords used 265s so you could use those....even up to 31x10.5

as for the tyre, it's up to you what you want to use your van for. there are a few threads deicated to that, and well you could just call around and see what brand, size and type fits your needs and budget.

265's will work fine....i use michelin ltx at2...initially they touched on the front inside mud flaps but then i raised the height of the vehicle and good to go

if the tires touch - just tighten up the torsion bars to raise the front end and that should help. The tradeoff is that the front suspension may get stiffer and harsher.

265/70 Will work in the mazda just fine...

Look for some good AT tyres and then go have some fun with your new van!
