Hey guys wanted to get some feedback or thoughts on the 3.0 turbo diesel Colorado available from LM. I visited the south showroom and test drove it and was quite impressed, not to mention it is something different to the fllooded japanese vehicles.

It is however a bit more pricy than the other fully loaded japs, but a really good all round package, inclusive of built-in turbo timer.

Let me know your views...

You said it is a bit more pricy. How much more?
What extra features does it come with?

Venum is correct. It's an American brand, made in Thailand using Isuzu Dmax engine and suspension components.

It turns out to be a Jap dressed up as an American.

i think it looks really decent and rugged. i checked the price back in may/june and i think it was TT$285,000 or thereabout.
its a 3.0L turbo diesel. interior looked pretty decent, comfy, and spacious.

Whatever you do, don't buy the fully-loaded, fully riced out version from LM - at $295,000 it's a ripoff, IMO.

For $295,000, you're getting:
- 3.0TD common rail diesel from the Isuzu DMax (both the colorado and Dmax share the same chassis and engine, like the Ranger and BT50)
- full leather interior
- turbo timer
- Fully carryboy accessories: tray liner/tray cover with rollbar, front nudge bar and sidebars
- 20-inch rims as factory stock

IMO, all that equipment still doesn't justify the almost $300K asking price.

You can get a fully loaded, leather clad Navara with 4x4 auto trans for $240,000 and a similar hilux for $265,000. Or you can get the excellent Ranger Thunder for $265,000 with full leather, auto and that amazing 3.0 TDCi engine.

Add on some accessories:
- Tray liner - $2800-$3000
- Rollbars - $3000-$5000
- Sidesteps - $2800
- Nudge bar/Bullbar - $2800
- 20 -inch rims + tyres - $10,000

I just can't see why LM would charge so much for a truck when there are other options out there with more power, more cargo room and more comfortable ride, each for less money even if fully-decked out with accessories and crims.

Not worth it, if u ask me.

But if you do like it and don't mind paying, and you want a truck that stands out from others that are flooding the market, then by all means go for what's best for you.
