Postby xtinguisher » July 14th, 2010, 3:00 pm

Hey guys I have a Hilux (New Model) van hitting 200,000Kms soon. i would like to know what parts or items I should service/change in the engine @ that interval? The van is going to be serviced @ The Firm (Toyota). Any advice would gladly be appreciated

Well hopefully you've done your regular oil/oil-filter/air-filter maintenance... :)

At that mileage, look for trouble spots in the suspension, shocks, arms, etc. Also your transmission fluids should be changed by now. Basically change all fluids in the truck at this time. May also need to check the injectors, check turbo seals, valve seals, etc.

It takes a million miles to kill a diesel, but you gotta keep it well maintained to get that magic no.

4x4 or 4x2?
3.0 or 2.5?
Any problems getting to 200 000km?
Toyota service should take care of you, however if there are any problems that you're experiencing let them know. Also ensure that your cooling system is working well.

If you need OEM disc pads ($750) or filters($100), let me know.

OEM stock moves slowly. I only have filters and disc pads for the new model. I carry a wider variety for the SR5.
