Is there anywhere that sells motocraft oils ? Changed my gb oil to Mobil and it’s feeling a bit sticky.

Nah, the hilux sump plug is in a recessed area
Plus there is a suspension cross beam just below as well and the stone shield plate too
When draining oil a fair bit usually hits the cross beam and makes some mess

^ This is what comes OEM from the firm. The Ford dealership has it, but it’s strictly for their use or so they say. I changed the motocraft to Mobil when I did my service outside from the dealership and it has a sticky feeling to it - so wanna go back to what the firm uses.

You do not have to remove the stone shield to do an oil change in the mk6 hilux unless you have something aftermarket.

Did you use the same spec?
Using the wrong class of oil can cause those sorts of problems

Yup buddy, I’m a detailed kinda spec guy so went through the owners manual with a fine tooth comb. Was reliably informed that the Shaeffer (spellings) or the red line works well. But I’d rather revert back to the motocraft.

No mess with the fumuto drain plug valve though

So I recently began looking for affordable oils to service my van, that isn't NP.
I first started using Gulf Fleetforce Synth 10w40
Then I started using Gulf Superfleet Supreme 15w40 when I realized that synthetics while good, aren't necessary for me, as I cannot extract the full benefit.

I am currently giving Wolf Vitaltech 15w40 a try. Haven't heard much about it but I do know it has been on market for a while. Initial impression is good but I have just changed my oil.

Been using the Mobil 1300 super 15w 40 for the last three oil changes and works well. Price is also reasonable at around 160gal. It is low ash so can work with egr and dpf

Just asking..whats wrong with NP/ultra? Dont they now have a synthetic diesel?

Yes they do have a synthetic diesel oil... I'm not using synthetic oil at this time.
It is a matter of personal opinion as well... I know I wouldn't feel right putting NP in my van; Their 15w40 mineral and especially their 5w40 synthetic product is also difficult to source.

Might give their synthetic diesel a try but geez it is a pain to source... Most parts places have just the "straight body" oil

I know u on point with your stuff but i bought amzoil last change on a fortuner and within 3000kms the oil breakdown was fast as hell.. really thinned out and engine was noticeably louder, dont know why, if it was a bad batch or what.. first time i experienced sum so wierd..

Changed to motul, as its working pretty solid in my navara so far and 5000kms and everything silky smooth once again
