ah see u buy these a lil while now how they r running off road is great but how is it on road comfort wise, noise and breaking want to buy some new one soon at or mt like the both... :?:

agreed. but after about 4 mths, they get a bit noisy, but nothing bad. everyone asking why i sold my set. in the first place, my suspension is stock, so the 16s with the km2 tyres were eating my mudguards to a point i had to remove them. plus it was killing my acceleration. however, the km2 tyres are quick to cut uneven even if your shock is good but a little weak. my front left km2 started cutting very uneven, sign of a busted shock although the ride said otherwise. i removed the shock, realised it was perfect but it had covered 100,000kms .installed a new oem shock, rotated tyres and problem stopped.

^^ yeah i started getting SLIGHT road noise now after 10,000kms of use but nothing noticeable; especially as compared to the Kumho KL71 or the Maxxis Bighorns

i honestly never had any problem in the wet with the KL71 and the same goes for the KM2

then again i don't drive in any way to "test" the handling in the wet

Starting to get a slight unusual vibration with the Hercules Alltrac AT but nothing noticeable to anyone but me.

Still relatively quiet (for an AT, but louder than the Open Country) after about 20000kms use, smooth and absorbs bumps well.

Handles great in wet and dry, but I really haven't given it a serious test in the mud.

So far, I can recommend this tyre as an excellent budget AT.

My good buddy 3stagevtec has them on his GV... works well on road and in wet conditions, but fails miserably in muddy condition. Will do moderately well in sand/dirt trails but that's about it.

However tire wear seems to be very good, he has them for about 2 years now and they still have good amount of tread life left (prob more than 60%).

For the price and expectation of the tire - I'd say it's a good value tyre.

I can personally vouch for the Kumho at, if it's the kl78 road venture or even the kl61 sat. We had a set on our frontier for 70,000km on Highway and it did very well on wet roads.

The Firestone destination is also an excellent all terrain and the price ur getting it at is pretty good too.

Those two I would recommend for a daily driven, sometimes offroad (light trails or beach) vehicle /truck. They will give u the most longevity (with regular rotations and balancing of course every 5000 - 10k km) with good dry/wet performance.

Ramratans got the Firestone Destination AT in 235/75/15, so i'll test them out and continue the review but i wanna say thanks to ALL the staff at the tire shop from the owner/manager to the salesman, and also the technicians, im hard to please and the service and the attitude of the staff was very good, im glad i went there today,

i got the tyres for 1050 VI installed which also included, speed balance, and valve change so all in all, good value for money too

Original tires started riding rough like a week now, coming down the highway last night, i started getting a pretty bad shake from the back. initially i thought balance was out since i balanced a week ago, so you know sometimes errors occur.
Dropped the van by MM this morning and they showed me why.... BENT Tire

Image

They was a little life in them still but safety before pocket right... MM were out of stock on tires for my spec so called around... Wheel Wizard had Proxes in stock... great service by the team!

the ride is comfortably smooth, just like the day i drove out the firm. The previous tires were actually good but I was told once they get down to this wear, they start to get hard, ride rough and warp

I'm looking for some tyres to replace the Dunlops that came on a Navara from the firm.

I don't plan to do a lot of offroading with the vehicle (if any at all) and I would be doing a lot of highway driving.....does anyone here have a recommendation for a tyre that would give me great wet/dry traction on tarmac but will have a decent tread life as well?

Got some new shoes for the ol' datsun...

Replaced the worn out Dick Cepeck 305/60R18 with some Nitto Trail Grapplers M/T in 285/65R18

The new tires were about 3/4" taller than the old worn out ones and they rubbed on full-steering lock at the corners on the fenders. Had to introduce Mr. Sledgehammer to Mr. Fender, and flip the fender liners behind the lip of the fender. Not much rubbing now... and ready for off-road!
