A/C install on a Hyundai H100 pickup (TBF)??

Hey folks,

Due to some changes in my dad's work, he now has an extra Hyundai H100 pickup, which is available for me to use freely, as opposed to sharing the lancer with my mum. So naturally I accepted the offer  .

Anyway, the pickup drives pretty nicely, good acceleration, very stable, so generally a nice vehicle to drive. The only complaint I have in terms of performance is that it maxes out between 120-130k, and traffic, road conditions etc don't allow one to drive safely at those speeds much anyway. It is very stable even up to those speeds though.

However, the problem is that my dad bought these pickups as the basic model, no stereo, no A/C. The stereo part I can take care of  , but I am not sure what to do about the A/C. Driving in the usual traffic during the day is really rather unpleasant, and by the time you reach your destination your feeling hot and sweaty (in a bad way :D).

So my question is, can an A/C system be installed on these trucks? If so how long would it take, where can I get it done, and how much would it cost?

By the way this is the model truck I'm talking about:

Thanks,
Stephen.

P.S. Anyone want to trade this for a nice-ish car? A ck lancer or something like that?

Hey Shane,

Thanks for the reply, I'll definitely give Ryanair a call. A little cold breeze will definitely make it a nicer ride :D .

And yeah, these trucks are really very nice vehicles. The only complaint is their gearboxes are a bit weak - the syncromesh on 3rd gear is almost non-existent in the truck I'm driving. So no quick-shifting, but then its not a sports car so what you expect  .

With a little cold breeze and some small music it should make quite a nice daily driver, so I guess we'll be keeping it for the near future... we'll see  .

Just joking... that is a good way to make some extra money though, might be able to pay for the aircon install over this coming month...
