Hi Guys,

New to the Toyota forum. Just got myself a 2006 Vigo doing 75k on the odometer. So far, I've had 2 problems with it, and would appreciate your advice on it.
1) Got it with the ABS Light On. Did a scan and it's reporting it as the Right Front Wheel ABS Sensor. I'm hoping that a replacement of the sensor should solve that problem.
2) This morning on my way into POS, at abt 100km/h, the engine check light came on and the RPM dropped to about 2500. There was a considerable loss in power, etc. Got to the office and switched it off. When I restarted it, check light came off and engine is working as normal. Any thoughts on this?

Ok 1st gen vigos (2005 - 2008) need to replace their injector seals as the originals leak fumes, better to do it sooner than later. Should seek advice from a professional.

Aaron good to knw u hav not experienced any problems with ur k&n. According to a TTTL service manager its a common problem for hilux owners who use K&N air filters, mostly likely they over oil the filter and do not let it dry properly before re installing.

Hi Guys,

Just to update, cleaned the MAF and the problem seems to have gone away.

Any idea where I can get the following {OEM Toyota}

1) Right Front Wheel ABS Sensor
2) Shocks
3) Cradle Bushings

Toyota appears to be out of stock.

Not a bot just a person who looking to bring down things like water pump and timer belt for my next major service . It will be nice if someone else does it before me.
A tru genius learns from others experience!
The last time I changed water pump toyota wanted to charge me I think about 2500.
Eventually got one by Mathura for like 500!

Was looking at this site Amayama and they seem promising.
I mean it this age of the internet why should we restrict ourselves to local suppliers and dealers who seem to want to dig out our eyes.
The more competition from outside suppliers should drive prices down locally too.

Bro has some maxis and the parts seem much cheaper there than buying it locally!

D4D guys, what mileage did u replace ur timing belt? Also at what service interval would TTTL replace the timing belt? The manual states it should be replaced every 150,000 kms. Also should I replace my water pump one time?

150 k km is correct wrt to timing belt. As well as tensioner pulley. Water pump not necessary.

First water pump started to leak at around 70,000 K. Changed it with one from Mathura's for 500$ and that one doing close to 80,000 K already. When I change my Timing belt at 150,000 K I will change the drive belt, water pump, coolant and thermostat at the same time. Will let the guy examine the hoses closely as well and change as necessary.

ok never changed my water pump, just crossed 90,000 no problems so far. Most likely i would replace the water pump when changing the T-belt at 150,000 k. Never changed coolant so due to change at 100,000k service.
