I had this exact problem some years ago
The only solution I found was to switch out the gear box and rebuild a centre console with proper insulation
U can get make a really good looking console out of MBF fiber glass etc and have it powder coated or leather wrapped either way it's inexpensive
Worked awesome never had any problems for 200k kms

Serious how long ago was that ? That bumper was made out of gold ? Tbh I find massy pricing on parts for these frontiers ridiculous. .. I changed the head for my vehicle about 6 yrs ago and that cost 5000 recently I asked what was the price out of curiosity they told me 8500+... I'm like wtf

Does this by chance fix the grating sound made when fully locked over going over a hump for example? If so I need to change mine as well.

Yup grating noise when going over humps and through rough roads. Steering dont necessarily need to be locked all but I get it when steering locked too.
Not sure what it looks like or how to DIY because under there really really really dirty and a good underwash seems to be harder to find that gold. I does have to pass through some craters regular with drain water and septic overflow so I need the underwash for a proper check up. (Nobody wants to go under there and touch mud from people cesspit).

Nowhere sells it self?

thx tr1ad.... i 4got dis tread! I created dat FRONTIER CLUB, so dat we dont jus give advice but also to move as a body time and time again.
Eg:- I went maracas the other day and saw 10-12 Navara Van line up as a group....and you doz see it in various oda vehicles especially Bikes.
I never witness dat with Frontiers, if dis TREAD willing to do dat; GREAT!!! I will take off mines :D

We do a membership thing....WAT U ALL THINK?

Great.... and like I mentioned, I 4got about dis thread. My idea don't hav to be mines, it can be EVERYBODY one!
Plus seein dis thread existing a wile now, I'm I the only Frontier dat had dis idea?
So 4getin bout d thread I created, seein dat dis 1 here... I'm suggesting dat we Form a FRONTIER CLUB where membership is applicable and we link up time and time again! Reason doin a membership, is to have CARDS in-hand so dat wen we see anoda Frontier on d rd, we can introduce dem to d Club; cuz not all Frontiers are on Tuner nor online!
