This thread just made it to the Tech section....must be Wagon, thanks man.

civic minded, the only site that looked reputable at the time I was searching was the official Ford UK dealer site as they had it as standard equipment on some models. I didn't contact them directly...was only curious. Right now the priority for me is to get at least the spare tire lock. But I'll keep an eye out for a dealer who can get the information centre at a good price.

anyone ever get an exemption for non ford parts added, so the warrenty will still be valid.

ie replaceing bumper with ARB sahara bumper, ARB air lockers etc etc etc.

Well for me is not so much the prices, (we all can use a little discount) but is more of the service.

yeh but when the sheit hits the fan, they can always turn round and say well u do this and not covered.
i know to put on the bumper involves cutting and adding to make the job complete. ill just ask the person in charge of warrenties when i get time

Any body have experience with ARB air lockers and the quality of the install done in trinidad?

I am the dealer for ARB and also the installer. The lockers will void the warrenty on the rear axle but should not be a problem on other parts. just the parts replaced will get voided. I also have the ironman bumpers. There is no welding or real cutting. All we have to do is take off the botton part of the bumer (bolt on) and trim the upper part to accept the mount. pm me for more info if your realle interested

Tuners... How much mileage do you get to a tank for the Ranger??? for both the 2.5 & 3 Liter models. And there is always ongoing talks on places to get better diesel. Is there any truth behind this???

I run the 2.5L WLT and these days I get around 575-600km and that's when the fuel light comes on.

...but I'm still experimenting, so I could get more after I compile my results and determine a proper solution. That's all I'll say for now 8-)

So far I've noticed that the A/C doesn't contribute that much to fuel economy.

But if you guys manage to keep it under 100km/h on the highway, you should see some major improvements....Yes, I know that is a difficult thing for some people :fadein:

On another note, did you guys know that the external air vent for the A/C has no filter or grill or mesh or anything to block particles from getting into your A/C system :?:

I discovered this after 'baby snake incident' a few months back. Snake crawled in one morning while parked at home and while on my way to work I opened the external vent to get some fresh air in the van. The 'vent valve' (to switch between external and internal air) is like a trap door over the blower which dropped and chopped the snake into little bits in the blower. At that point you can imagine how fresh the air was  Had to drive without the A/C for a couple weeks before I could properly clean it out. (this is how I know about the fuel economy thing)

I've noticed lately that the dry dusty conditions we have everywhere is actually forcing dust into the external vent system. Every time I open the external vent I hear a bit of dust falling and it gets blown through the vents. I think I'll have to fabricate some sort of filter/cover for the external vent. Unfortunately, the only proper place to put it is in a very hard place to reach by hand and you have to remove your wipers, the plastic weather stripping on both sides of the windscreen and the plastic cover at the base of the wipers to get at it.

I'll throw up some pics later to show you...

Damn - I didn't even knew that the vent doesn't have a good filter- that really sucks- is it possible to install a pollen filter? Cause iam tired of this flekkin dust everyday- I had to take alegra almost every day
