my 2007 3.2L doing 173,000km

ULSD - we do not get that and i doubt very much that we will be getting anytime soon.

Trinis aint paying for that unless it is the only type of diesel available

I have an 07 2.5 4x4 manual.
Currently doing 158K, I get around 600 per tank/fill. Never ran the tank too low, usually fill just under quarter.

Nope, and probably wont happen anytime soon.
If the ULSD plant in Petrotrin ever comes online, they will mix it with the existing refinery output.

or export

to introduce that higher grade diesel locally would mean some work at the fuel stations like installing separate\new storage tanks

or . . . they may select a few of the newer stations and sell it as the only grade there

Does the l200 have a spindle that needs pressing with a hub or does it unbolt like a navara /y12

So far it's sounding like the 3.2 gives better mileage than the 2.5 with VGT

Yup. Mom has the 2.5 with the vg turbo and. I really do get more mileage from mine. I barely have to go above 2000rpm.

Siiiiigh..... So I would really want to know why Mitsubishi felt the need to replace the 3.2 with the 2.5VGT... I mean it sounds like the VGT has a bit more power and performance, but the mileage is not as great. I was a bit in awe when I saw you 3.2L guys getting 500-600km on a 50L and I think I can get that from a 75L tank.

But what else do you notice differently between yours and your mom's?

2oz of amsoil diesel concentrate is added to the tank at each full up, if it's of any importance.

What I've noticed is that the suspension is a lot more comfortable and that silly cartridge fuel filter doesn't last very long with our diesel.

Performance-wise, the 5 speed is too undecided. For a diesel engine that is very torquey, it doesn't need to downshift where a petrol engine would (I wouldn't want to imagine how the 7spd in the new Frontier feels).
The 2.5vgt has potential to be more economical than the 3.2 but with the hilly terrain where we live coupled with the constant traffic puts the advantage on the 3.2. To be honest I love them both. The 2.5 has a much more car like feel whereas my 3.2 feels very rugged.

Well I guess hands down the 3.2 is way more efficient... If I drive at 120, it will display mileage like 18/19.... I guess this is what it feels like driving a petrol or v6.... What was the mileage like before adding the fuel treatment?

I guess I will have to take consolation in that it has a better ride. It sounds like it really does, because the ride of older L200 has left a bad taste in people's mouth here and when they drive in mine they report it as driving smooth. In Jamaica the poice force uses the 2.5 Sportero, so the sales rep was telling me that the suspension is extra firm, whereas the High Power rides better, so I am not sure because Police and real pick up folks need a work truck is reason why the non High power models ride so hard.

Yes the High Power is extremely torque, it will just use the current gear quite often, I'm really impressed with that. I can just imagine what it would have felt like had they not chopped the torque down for the automatic.

I'm skeptical of those piggy back units tbh.
