So just killin time for now.

Any one knows where I can sourse an LSD for the sportero? (This model come with 3.9 diff ratio)

Good Move,

yea CA will tell u that you have to give them some response time before they get involved.

I would look in the UK for that LSD or Australia

lets know what u find, as I am sure there will be a few in here that want LSD's as well

Tried filter proz but no response and Roc has none in stock. Getting a substitute for $600.00 bu maruds in marabella, any one ever used a substitute spindle and how did it hold up

Hey guys anyone knows who has the fuel filter (OEM) for the 3.2L sportero/triton in stock. The two places I normally source from are both out of stock.

Most of the other places I've checked don't have OEM but have "an original non-mitsubishi fuel filter that could work" or the usual substitutes (sakura, etc).

Yeah I've come to realize many part shop counter staff will try to sell you whatever they have on stock regardless if it will work for your vehicle or not. This past week a woman in El Socorro tried to sell me an oil filter for my van which had the old MD initials in the part number and the size of the 2.5L oil filter, insisting it was OEM and would work for the 3.2L engine.

Filter pros, LV Marketing, ROC. I bought about 3 at LV at once as I got a good deal on them, can't recall the price but it was good, so you can ask if they'll give you a similar offer.

Thanks DVSTT....yup ROC is one of the normal suppliers I source from but this rounds they were out of stock.

I was able to find a contact for LV marketing easily. (658-0405)

Not so lucky with a contact for Filter pros. If you have a contact for them can you post it as a reply thanks.

Thanks for the phone number guys.

@ DVSTT I stopped pricing stuff from the firm after I got a price quote of around $900 before discount for an oil filter for my van. Mind you this was a few years back, so I can only imagine the price they might be quoting now.

I think stock 3.2 is 12psi. Someone here was running 19 if I recall correctly

Hey guys I got my Sportero HP last month, it's been great so far... but after reading the last couple threads I went to look back at my pro-forma and I saw where it says that my Sportero has power windows and mirrors but the mirrors are manually folded. Next thing, it says the LSD is Mechanical. Is that the type of that makes the "clunk" noise when activated? Or how can I know or test if it has LSD without having to find mud or gravel?

The one we have has a hybrid lsd sticker on the rear diff. Also, if you change to a thicker diff fluid it helps with the rough lsd engagement. Can't remember what body we used in our van but the difference was might and day.

Well the van has only 800km on the clock, so I really have no reason to change it, and plus the dealer is offering 5 free services, and they are going to use stuff what they have.... But I'm a bit disturbed at the manual mirrors, but I need to find out about the LSD though

Jack up the rear and have both wheels up in the air. Turn one rear wheel and watch the other as you turn it. If it turns in the opposite direction, you have an open diff. WRT the power mirrors, they have it right. If yours came with auto folding mirrors it would have said "Power Folding Mirrors" .

Ok guys I jacked up both front and rear and I can safely say that both diffs have LSD.... I also checked back the pro-forma and apparently there's no auto folding mirrors. I just gave it out to service and asked my sales rep why, she said that's just how they are.

I am not happy with how they spec these pick ups, I wanted the high power engine with the rims, but in manual, and I was told I can only get it in tiptronic.... Is that how it is in Trinidad too?

When I jacked up the front wheels, I spun the left and the right didn't move.... vice versa on the left.... when I jacked up the back and spun one wheel the other went back for one second, then started to move in the same direction as the one I was turning... So based on that I was concluding that both diffs are LSD.... I had an Xtrail before and that definitely had an open diff, the opposite wheel would just turn in the opposite direction, but this didn't behave like that. I also have 2 first gen Pajeros and when I spin the front wheels, the other doesn't move, just like what happened with the Sportero... So I can safely conclude that both diffs are LSD right?

The KB model uses a vacuum switch to activate the front diff when the transfer case is engaged

when in 2H the front wheels operate like free-wheelers, they aren't connected to each other

both will spin freely and independently

I checked this when mine was on a H ramp for an underwash

when u put the lever in 4H then the diff actuates and the axels connect

so u may have to put it in 4H before u jack up the front

do it with the engine running then switch off and jack up

Problem with my sportero....alot earlier than expected...but then considering its 2yrs4mths now i have it n im doin 110000km. Apparently my neutralizer switch is bad, according to Mohammed in south branch. It is spontaneously neutralizing on me. As in not going into neutral n not showing that it is in drive. Firm has this for 2990+vat. Any ideas of where i can check for this that may be a lil cheaper?

Hey guys need some help on this one. I know Venum posted the OEM fuel filter number as 1170A053. Can anyone can confirm is this is for the 3.2L sportero. Since I've been calling around and getting different part number for the OEM fuel filter for this vehicle. ROC's filter is carrying the number 1770A373, MRampersad's 1770A177. Some of the other places are simply describing fat and skinny filter. Can anyone give some clarity on this and better yet a pic of the OEM fuel filter for the 3.2L.

Thanks
