welcome ThatGuy to our L200 corner of the world

we try to make here the go to place for all things L200

the KB4\KB8 models are really nice vehicles

Dr. B is the go-to guy that's for sure

that snorkel is purely cosmetic for you unless you plan to do serious offroading - wading in water higher than the level of your stock intake (inside right fender)

AT tyres are very nice when needed in non-asphalt surfaces, however if you are predominantly a highway\asphalt driver like myself, then you may find that they wear quicker than HT or ST tyres

I have gone thru several sets of A/T in my current and previous L200 (K74) and find that it doesn't last as long as HT when used for mostly (high speed) highway driving

Venum,
Thanks for the heads up. How many KM did you get out of your AT tires before you had to change them?

MY experience with using ATs:
Toyos: lasted about 40,000 km
Kumho KL SAT: currently doing about 47,000 km and will have to change soon.

In the past I've used the Firestone A/T and those held out significantly better, in fact the next time I'm getting a set of tires, it will more than likely be these. If you have the money, the BFG A/T is an excellent choice as well.

As venum mentioned though, if on road is where you spend most of your time, a set of HT should last you longer. Pay attention to the threadwear number you see on the tire.

I will say this though, regardless of tire style, I'm always amazed to read foreign reviews on how long they've had their tires; in many instances what they're getting in terms of life, in MILES is barely what I observe in KM :/

Several places have them in different versions, do some calling around to see best style.
These are pretty reputable shops:

4x4 Trinidad
Westbourne Trading
Fender Imports

to name a few.

Guys, i have a pair of 265/65-17 bridgestone duelers that i took off of our sportero yesterday with about half the life left. I also have the two front that are a little smooth around the edges. It's in the classified section. I'm asking $400 for the pair and you could get the other 2

Thanks Venum,

I had to buy in Diamond Motors.

I actually only paid $1699 despite being told otherwise earlier this week

Hey guys I'm considering a 4x4 vehicle soon and looking at the L200 .... however doing some research on the net I've noticed that there are lots of complaints regarding 4D56 engine failures. Although I understand this engine has been used for years and refined by Mitsu it appears that there are some inherent flaws in its design hence the many engine failures around the world.

My question is is this also happening in TT? Are engine rebuilds/replacement common with the 4D56?

Would like to hear some experiences. I've seen that there is also a major problem with Nissan's YD25 turbo engine in the D22 Frontiers and lots of posts of engine failure. It seems that both manufacturers have had problems with their respective engine .... would like to hear from the Mitsu side.

Guys, how can I know if a Jumpstarter will be able to jump my 3.2 Triton? The jumpstarter is rated at 400A peak and apparently jumps up to a 4.0v6 gas engine. Will this work on the Triton?

I never got jump start to work on my 3.2L

I have given many ppl a start from my van, but never got to jump start mine when my battery died

it just refused to turn

I had to remove my dead battery, put in a good battery and then replace dead battery when van was started and running

ek4ever you need to clarify and provide more details on the model L200 and 4D56 you are referring to

it is a pretty robust and economical engine worldwide

there are different variant to the 4D56 - n/a, turbo, DiD

do you have any before/ after finished shots? Also, did you get those locally or online? Now you have to change the door lights to match 0X

No before but here's the after
Got them in a store in marabella, but I bought out all they had. I put them in all our cars. Much brighter than bulbs. There are smd ones I've been eyeing on amazon that are supposed to be brighter though, but they are around 180 dollars locally but 3 for 15USD online.
