yea, me ent dey. for 2 reasons:

1) my brake pads gonna roast coming down. is either that or the tranny. and a tranny for that beast is > 75K

2) i will not be able to stop and start too often. the Nav has to rev harder cos of its smaller displacement and larger turbo, which puts extra strain on the rad to cool the engine, higher EGTs and on a hot day, the turbo will not be as efficient when sucking hot air

too much abuse to my baby. call my name tho 8-)

doh talk too fast... went for a lil drive today... :twisted:

lemme zoom into it just a bit..

i bought an angle finder just for these occasions! the steepest section of the hill read 18deg.. doesn't sound like much eh..

didn't have any problem attacking those slopes!

a look at the antenna from maracas bay

i made a lil video with my camera phone, but it came out really crappy! at a certain section during a hairpin turn, i started to skid on the dry concrete! :shock:

and when i initially started to climb the hill, i was using only 2nd gear.. when i stopped to take the 1st pic, i saw smoke coming from under the van! figured it was clutch, but i never slipped it during the climb.. so i dunno..

surprisingly, the brakes didn't smell at all during the drive up/down..

i eh go blame ah man for backing out on this kind of run... that is WAYYYY too much pressure on the vehicle...

but I would soooo love to take a go at that...

hmm, when i get my locking hubs, i shouldn't have a problem climbing those hills with my auto Vitara..

unlocked front hubs + low range gearing :wink:

i believe that should easy the stress on the engine / transmission..
