Anybody heard about a promotion for Ranger owners at the stealership???

It was on the radio yesterday but I didn't get the full details. Only remember hearing something about Rangers in the series ranging from TCB to TCW (older models only) about big discounts on parts and labour. I also remember hearing something about an average of $400 for a set of brake pads.

fellas some assistance needed. Checked my dip stick last saw the oil level dropped ok cool not by much , it was due for an oil change anyway so sunday when i removed the shield i saw oil under the turbo and it dripped unto the engine mount and ran down to some other parts around that area .Any idea what could cause it. If my turbo is going? called Sookhai's and they said it has no kit for that turbo and i would need to buy one $5750 for it. Any help is appreciated.

turbo leaking oil. very common with these engines. i would say run it til it gone completely before changing. it would take a really long time before you would NEED to replace it.

Well I spoke to James Mosley , going and check him tomorrow to diagnose the problem but he said it could be the oil drain line washer that gone .

Recently came home with a 2011 hi rider .... Bought the van not only for looks but thought it was good value for me...

It also had the following features:

- decent enough to take the family out
- needed something with a tray for the occasional hardware trip
- automatic (nice but not necessary).

A Hilux with similar specs wasn't within my budget.

Took it today to get the interior shampooed and detailed.
Taking it in for service on Monday.

Willing be looking around for some (used) oem accessories.

Btw Good thread fellas

Did a 15k service ... $1541 + 2 gallons of Amsoil engine oil.

No discounts even though I booked on line. They did however update the auto tranny software.

if your doing it at the firm - you can apply for the Premier membership card. Go tomorrow and ask service dept for the application form. When next you go in service, you show them the card and get the discounts. It also applies to parts and the rest of the companies in the ANSA group.

for the WLT owners...

I removed the inlet fuel line nut on my fuel pump today to check the tiny strainer and found some gunk in there (there was a bit more in the strainer before I took the 3rd picture) Cleaned it out with a can of compressed air and now it's kinda weird, but the truck is accelerating a lot smoother.

Please do not attempt this if you don't have steady hands and have no access to small tools like a long pair of needle nose pliers or long tweezers.

Can't seem to find the invoice...

I believe the filter was $70 and the coolant was around $115 (or $150)

Yep, was coming from the hardware.

Has anyone ever tried out the brake pads from the stealership?
I need to know if they are any good.

Is the dealership sale still on?

In most cases, OEM is always better than those after market stuff

That's the thing, I've seen some vehicles worked on at the stealership and the front wheels are black with brake dust after only a week of usage.

After just over 3 years, I'm still running my original brake pads and never had that issue. Which leads me to question if 'OEM at the stealership' is really the real thing. The sale is still on, so I want to take advantage if these pads are the good stuff.

The weird thing is the last time I went there, I saw a display on the counter showing real and imitation brake pads.
