Great :( and I just bought Hercules All Trac ATs for 1100 each. Noisy buggers, but they hold pretty good in wet, light mud, sand and dry.

I noticed the edge of the (front) tyres touching the mud flap when locking all the way. I raised the front by cranking the torsion bars, it helped but still touching a little. I may have to remove the mud flap??
I thought that size tyre would have been no problem but I guess I was wrong!

is it me, or does the wheel space here look very small, if the rear is higher than the front and u dont have much more to wind up, u may need to get some better torsions....

Actually, I took the photos before raising the front, it's a lot higher now but still touching. I used rims from an old hilux 15" and left the 16" steelies with the road tyres as a complete spare set.

did you solve the problem with the tyre rubbing?
i have on 275/70/16 and have rubbing issues

contemplating removing the mud flap

great tire, and price is good too, very very good off road and great on road manners for a MT, but that leads to soft compound, and that leads to faster wear down.....

Put my new set of Maxxis to the test today on a wet highway coming up from south. I was amazed of how well the grip was in the wet, felt like I was driving on dry pavement. The Duelers (even when they were new) would move around a lot on the wet road. These tires felt like I was riding on rails.

I have the same tyres on my ranger - mines is over a year old, still have about half life on it - still great on pavement or wet but terrible offroad.

I've been offroad a few times with them already. They moved around a bit in the mud but is nothing I can't handle. I think they are good tires for an ocassional off-roader like myself.

....then again I don't find myself in the kinda situations the Side-B crew will end up in 8-)

Well the duelers ht that came stock with the lux is probably the worst tyre I have ever driven. Definitely looking to sell them. However having problems getting 265 65 at most places. I definitely want a/t as my replacements. I had michelins and hankook on my bt50 and those worked real well. Just called quick service they don't have in stock. Probably hid them away given their current promotion. Tyre centre clears a container this week. Ramrattan dont have Firestone in stock.

What other size above 265 65 can a hilux take without compromising clearance etc

Also Pirelli scorpions? Who sells these?
