Can i ask where you got the heat shield to buy? Is it original or was it customized to fit? Looking for one for an older vehicle thats impossible to find :|

Hey no probs, I bought it at the fabric n upholstry store on cipero st, its around 30 dollars per foot if I can remember, its about 4ft in width, I just bought it to length, and cut it to fit under the hood, bad thing is that its not as hard (like chipboard) likew the factory one, its a bit more plyable (like vinyl) so u have to use all the clips, and maybe more or some double sided tape etc to ensure it keeps the shape for sure, also u may have to be a bit easy on it if powerwashing, I haven't tested it out in that regard yet either, good luck

Are those white flecks in the interior shots the original colour seeping through after the colour change ?
Considering doing the same so i'd be interested to know how the materials stood up over time

are you referring to the interior body which was left white?.....

or the upholstery?.........if upholstery, there are some spots and scratches where the paint was removed, but it's minimal, i had tried out different plastic primer products.....if you're going to do that, i recommend using the max mayers product. the areas which were applied using the max mayers took a beating with no flakes and scratches, i would also recommmend a clearcoat to protect the paint finish, which i didnt do.
