If your engine light ever comes on and the vehicle goes in "safe mode" just clean the sensor and reset the ecu... NO need to go back to TTYL as they gonna charge you $300 and still gonna happen again. I clean mine every oil change.........

Yup very sure filter caused it... After already paying for it i rather keep it for a while and just clean the sensor regular....
If you ever get the check light and go to ttyl 1st thing they gonna ask you is if you have a K & N

Ur truck brand new ! U change oil already?

I thought Mobil was being phased out and replaced by Gulf via Lange Trinidad Ltd. Looks like it's still available on the local market.

With regards to the k&n filter i remember a good few ppl on the forum having their engine check light come on and eventually they realise it was the K&N filter causing the problem. When i bought my k&n filter it was dripping with oil so i went TTTL to find out if it would void my warranty the service technician said it wouldn't but they don't recommend it cause almost everyone who use a K&N filter in the hilux eventually get tht problem where the engine check light would come on and the truck would loose power etc. If ur using a k&n make sure and the let filter dry properly after re-oiling and clean the maf sense regularly.

Need some advice guys! Starting a new job abroad. 3 months abroad and 1 month home. So I want to know if there are any special requirements for leaving my pickup parked up for 3 months. It is a 2.5L D4D not sure if that's important. Lol! Anyway, should the fuel tank be full or close to empty? There will be no moving it during this 3 months. Maybe intermittent starting (Parents don't drive). Will try to sell it in July when I am back. Any advice will be appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Disconnect the battery.
Leave it with 1/2 to 1/4 tank diesel (no need to leave it with a full tank).
And make sure your tyres are hard enough 28~30 psi.
