Navara D40 headlights.

Postby monk_t » May 16th, 2010, 8:48 pm

Is it me or don't the stock lights do an effective job of lighting up the road, I often have to wonder if I forgot to turn the lights on (and I find it rude to drive around with high beams one).

So folks with Navara's share your thoughts and what you did (if anything) to correct the issue.

Monk.

Played with it already (but thanks for the suggestion) and the throw was a bit to high so just driving around the beam was hitting other drivers in their eyes. The cut off point ideally should be just under the trunk of a regular car so as not to cause glare in the rear view as well as not blind oncoming traffic.

So I gather aim is not the problem, but intensity and focus of the beam pattern from the lamp itself.

if it continues to be a problem you should consider some new bulbs.. or hook up some relays on the original ones and see if your road illumination gets where you want it to be...i's do with the relays first and see before thinking about changing bulbs or lighting systems...
