Problem Starting

Postby speed king » August 4th, 2009, 9:57 pm

i have a L200 4wd, k74 model, 4d56 turbo. sumtimes when i turn the key to start, the van makes a click an looses all power, i have to take out the negative battery pole for a few seconds and then everything goes back to normal an it starts like normal, tightened the poles but same ting, i recently started to get the problem, i changed the alternator recently, nothing else was done to the van, the problem occurs randomly cause most of the times it starts normal, any views on what this could be?

First things first, did you check the battery? It could be a bad cell.
