UNC Government's "Classic Car" Promise

Postby FugiTECH » May 9th, 2025, 11:55 am

Many must have seen Kamla's promise to allow the Importation of "Classic Cars" for car community. Hoping this pulls through and even allow Old Cars already in the Country to be Registered.
We came up with some of the Economic and Financial Benefits of Allowing Classic Car Imports and/or Registration (20+ Years Or Older)

1. Government Revenue Generation
• Import duties, VAT, registration, and licensing fees contribute to INSTANT public revenue.
• Additional income from inspections, emissions testing, and special permits.
2. Job Creation and Industry Growth
• Boosts niche sectors such as restoration, parts supply, and vintage car services.
• Encourages small business development and local entrepreneurship.
3. Tourism and Events
• Classic car shows and rallies attract local and international tourists, stimulating hospitality and service industries.
4. Expansion of the Automotive Sector
• Increases demand for skilled labor, technical training, and importation of specialized parts.
• Potential for exports of restored vehicles to international buyers.
5. Cultural and Economic Diversification
• Supports preservation of automotive heritage.
• Diversifies the economy, reducing reliance on traditional sectors.
