No new wagons?

Postby RBphoto » March 25th, 2025, 10:37 pm

Soo... from what I am seeing, Toyota discontinuing their fielder wagon and getting a y12 wagon is almost impossible. Are any manufacturers making wagons 2025 model year?

The E210 Corolla comes in a touring which is a wagon and they recently started utilising a 1.5 3 cylinder in them making it cheaper to import, so I expect to see those entering our market in the upcoming months.

sedans an wagons are now a thing of the past.

hatchbacks/suv/crossover vehicles are what car manufacturers are producing now a days. not because the market demands it but fuel economy regulations have forced automakers to move away from smaller vehicles.

it’s a balance of size too
present hybrid electric efficiency is for these mid sized vehicles
too heavy requires more electric energy to move

Saw the euros coming back with estates which is promising. The japs hopefully will fall back in line.

Toyota is still pushing out their probox which is pretty much a bucket with a hybrid system

I have not considered probox but thanks for the suggestion.

Really nice power train especially with that manual

It is manual transmission.
To the best of my knowledge all Toyota hybrids are auto.
