Saw a grey one of these on the road yesterday ... it has some presence with that crazy rear end ... no denying it is a deal and a half for the straight line performance on tap here.

The 400hps you'd hardly ever be able to fully utilize on these roads.

I did see the MG4 EV XPOWER in the UK for about £37,000 before tax.

Our tax structure on vehicle imports makes all prices outside very irrelevant.

EV's have Eco mode and can be driven very conservatively.
There is sometimes a sport mode that uses more power but not as much as the launch mode.
The full hp and launch control etc is something you have to set and is usually for short bursts.
To set launch control for most new cars there is a series of menu changes you have to make and then press the brake and accelerator pedals to launch, then it defaults to regular mode - it's not using that much power in regular driving.
Electric motors though have 100% of torque from 0 RPM so EV's are usually better at accelerating than a gasoline or even turbocharged car.
