I as one NOT for the state getting involved in something like this. Banks, yes, no problem, because you can choose to live a cashless life if you want already. I have exactly $3.00 in cash in my wallet right now, since this morning, and I filled my car tank, paid for groceries, paid the phone bill and wasa and t&tec, wife wanted fast food so I paid for that too. The 3 pcs of polymer eh move yet.
Imagine this scenario for a moment.
You owing the state (could be a traffic ticket, unpaid taxes, overdue wasa/t&tec bill), and you have $X in your account, and govt knows EXACTLY how much money you have, and where, and can freeze/seize it at will because as far as they concerned, you owing them for a traffic ticket and using a currency that they alone hold sole and ultimate control over.
