I'm anti-everyone when it comes to politics, but I like being the devil's advocate.
Plenty people push this narrative (stolen money for HQ), but no evidence to back it up. Won't it have paper trails to prove/disprove it?
Honestly that's the playbook for all Trini politics inno. Pelt accusations willy nilly, but they mostly smart enough leave it vague enough to avoid litigation. At least the smarter ones know how to handle that.
j.o.e wrote:Those 10 car raffles brought big money eh. Plenty non affiliated ppl PNM bought, and unlike UNC there are always fundraising activities, galas, membership fees and donations.
UNC should structure themselves better to take advantage of these things.
It’s all well and good to bawl is tief but where are UNC seeking to raise funds from?
mero wrote:But seriously though. All the big shot multi millionaire lawyer, doctor, businessman and real estate mogul in UNC and they can't find a proper HQ?
Seems more intentional than not, not so? Why HQ upstairs a bar? Why UNC getting evicted from Rienzi....
Or UNC really just that poorly managed and will forever depend solely on grassroot UNC till ah dead to keep them afloat?
What is the real issue here?
Rum shop talk. Who is mocking anyone? Who is putting PNM on a pedestal? Persons are assuming there is corruption in the PNM building.... that is very possible, but nobody can show any evidence of such at this time. The UNC whether legitimate funds or corruption was unable to put the party before individuals and build a headquarters for the same grassroots who keep voting them. The fact that even as renters, they can only find places like the funeral home and the sports bar, says a lot about their ability to attract financial support when things not going well.Rovin wrote:yes its a shame unc didnt build a decent permanent hq while they had d chance but its unbelievable how some of u cud point n laff n mock 1 party while thinking d other party is a saint & that it really "honestly got its million$ thru innocent patriotic citizens fund raising events & donations from d goodness of their members hearts" to construct a multi-million $ HQ ... alllyuh really believe dat whether u like\hate pee nm, unc or whoever else ?
when d idea of govt was conceived thousands of yrs ago d politicians & their selected ppl came out with devised a plan to get favors & kickbacks for their funding & efforts
a simple ex : a project cost 100m , 20 for d party, 20 for d contractor & 10 for future election campaign funding so total is a conservative 150 , cud be even more by subcontracting d work to a smaller contractor or 2 while d main contractor over sees them & make a further profit so put it as 175 or even more too ....

Ls are immediately assumed with the UNC but I mean as a serious member or supporter of the UNC. This has to be quite embarrassing.MaxPower wrote:mero wrote:But seriously though. UNC owns no home, never did and it seems never will and has only regressed after Panday with no plan to leave opposition

That being said, I still support kamla and the pnm must go.
