Somebody said it broke down on wristson road and had to be wrecked.

How high does water really get? The big trucks usually could wade those waters.

This looking like a modified f450 or sumting

Breaker should trip and if you have over 5 feet of water in a house that reaching the meter base it probably won't be one house. Fuse will blow at transformer or recloser tripped.

They can stay in the dry and open a jumper.

Also, you do not do work in water. Vehicles have to be electrically insulated so electricity cannot travel to ground. If you in a vehcile that in water there is no way that situation can be deemed safe to operate.

I may be wrong because a lot has changed and there are instances where they work live.

I was thinking if the water is that deep that they need a vehicle like that how can crews even work in water that deep? You can't erect a ladder if you can't see the footing and getting out of Noah's ark into the flood to do electrical work is a definite no go.
What they really need is a armored vehicle to go up in the hills and them places to disconnect all the illegal connections

Utilities use amphibious vehicles to transport workers and equipment.

Most times they use the bucket truck. No need for ladder.

I think the tyres serve as extra insulation from the ground so if it's wet then that's a definate no-no for work.

u not wrong, in situations where water is that deep, they would cut power to the area from the nearest not flooded location.

That's a clean lake they testing the vehicle , knowing Trinidad nasty flood waters filled with garbage that will stall or damage the propulsion installed.

The demonstration video for sure is over a year old. There isn’t any leaves in the trees. So it’s somewhere in fall of…at most 2018 to at least 2021. Delivery Probably got delayed by the pandemic

I can’t see that being used in open waters. One strong 2’ wave will sink that vehicle. That only good for the pond in Usine or Petrotrin where the waters are calm.
