So the solution to using something improperly is to remove the said something?

Then change the law or privilege.pugboy wrote:its pretty obvious that this perk is being abused, most buy cars and sell/transfer the day after the stipulated time period has passed. they will sell to a padna for a little under market value but still make plenty as they saved taxes
If the stipulated time period has passed....is it abuse or wrong?pugboy wrote:its pretty obvious that this perk is being abused, most buy cars and sell/transfer the day after the stipulated time period has passed. they will sell to a padna for a little under market value but still make plenty as they saved taxes
Law said two years, I don't see how it is abuse or wrong.Phone Surgeon wrote:If the stipulated time period has passed....is it abuse or wrong?pugboy wrote:its pretty obvious that this perk is being abused, most buy cars and sell/transfer the day after the stipulated time period has passed. they will sell to a padna for a little under market value but still make plenty as they saved taxes

Not illegal means the state has no case and a waste of time.pugboy wrote:its not illegal but it is being abused
some may thing not of course.......just like said benz owner/gun dealer was known for fast tracking applications
which not illegal.....Phone Surgeon wrote:If the stipulated time period has passed....is it abuse or wrong?pugboy wrote:its pretty obvious that this perk is being abused, most buy cars and sell/transfer the day after the stipulated time period has passed. they will sell to a padna for a little under market value but still make plenty as they saved taxes
Its OK for PNM officials to do it, then they play on minds of their followers that it is wrong for the opposition.hover11 wrote:Done the whole thing and cut the perk because it is causing too much controversy, for national interests and due to the present state of the economy we cannot allow all this leakage of tax dollars used up in tax exemptions easy as that. Something imbert would say if he himself wasn't benefiting from such.

If abused from the MPs on all sides , Judges, government officials ect then change the law.
The pnm and the media would have gotten the latest certified copy and blasted it, but no mention of that.pugboy wrote:maybe he transferred too early or bruce lee had suspect funds trail, will have to wait for case

Most companies cars are changed every two years. I believe the PM car is changed every two years.hover11 wrote:Should be once every five years for a vehicle tax exemption, because clearly every two years breeds corruption. Who changes vehicles every two years, a vehicle starts to go bad after five years of use....
Thats fine by companies that can afford to do such and making their own profits but the economy is not in a state to continue such .....we not making profits or large revenue streams like before. Every penny from tax dollars count at the moment and this certainly cannot continue.Kickstart wrote:Most companies cars are changed every two years. Two years is the standard norm.

eliteauto wrote:I could see Lee winning the case if the vehicle hasn't been transferred, the argument would be it's my vehicle, who I choose to let drive it is my business, immoral isn't illegal and being charged is a legal issue not a moral one. I know people who gave MPs money to buy vehicles on their behalf through that same exemption for Prados and Range Rovers but it was while the said MPs were the party in office so no feathers ruffled
