is it true classic motors say you cannot wire gps alarm to a honda city as it will mess up the car electronics?

They probably said that all the results from Google and videos of installations in Honda City cars on YouTube are fake.

Lifestyle said the same with the Chevrolet
What prevents you from just doing location and no shut down function?.... If this was the actual issue.

For hybrids in general, what exactly can you cut power to safely?

Ik for sure it aint the fuel pump

When you send the shutdown command the entire car cuts off. Will look into what he wired it to, but car cuts off and dash goes dark

Sounds like laziness to me (meaning if I'm dotish, I assume everyone else's dotishness is on the same level).

The electrical control circuit which shuts down the car looks for a status from the key switch. It's just a matter of opening/breaking that circuit.
I see no reason why tracking and not shutdown can't be implemented if there is skepticism/uncertainty about the control circuit disabling.

many companies don’t implement the shutdown though, just pure tracking

i confirmed with a new kia sportage owner that massy tell her she cannot have gps wired into car
so she is using standalone gps
