Several parts of T&T are currently without electricity.

T&TEC has lost about 100MW of power due to an issue at Powergen.

This had resulted in about 30,000 customers across Tdad being out of power at this time.

The Commission is working on getting the situation resolved at the power producers in order to normalize the grid.

It is expected that in about one hour, power will be fully restored to the grid.

Some areas reported so far are: Diego Martin, Arima, Chin Chin, Cunupia, Curepe, Arouca and other parts of north and central Trinidad.

No electricity from St. Augustine to Arouca - This I can confirm from there being no working traffic lights. Also Las lomas and St. Helena.News reports say outages from as far east as Omera.

So when they appointing the next Commission of Enquiry paid for by taxpayers, but never releasing the report for anyone to read?

I say we on for at least 1 more major nationwide blackout for the year? Maybe around end of October?

The copper wire they steal is from telephone lines not electricity lines

^^ You're correct. Overhead high tension lines are aluminum alloy - no copper.

High voltage, low voltage lines that you see on the posts are all aluminum. From your building it’s copper. The WASA station that got hit earlier this week was done by people who knew they system, they popped the fuses and had easy access to the equipment.

I think he meant they de-energized the T&TEC lines to get safer access to the copper telephone lines

they used a long pole to switch off the lines and then cut the copper lines from meter onwards

The 12kv feeder cables are also copper.

The high voltage underground feeder cables are copper. They cut and stole that from the Wasa booster twice already.
