This is hilarious
Saw this already. Classic.
Liberal logic at its funniest
Republican sponsored and passed along party lines. Signed into Law by Bush 43.
The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-212) is a United States law that recognizes an embryo or fetus in utero as a legal victim, if they are injured or killed during the commission of any of over 60 listed federal crimes of violence. The law defines "child in utero" as "a member of the species Homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb."
Also appointed Justices Roberts and Alito.
The problem was that the AMA disagreed with the implied definition of a fetus because it is contrary to their ethical delineation of treating an embryo differently when compared to a fetus: "the eighth week of pregnancy, the embryo develops into a fetus."

You want a Scooby snack for being the brightest and most irritating tuner at the same time? Not everything requires a thesis to back out up bro. It's called old talk for a reason. If people believe am unborn foetus is a life or that they shouldn't be forced to vaccinate that's their belief, no one cares what you post to refute that. Come off tuner and make some real friends, or are you posting to simply fight down every point to show how intelligent you are hoping someone will offer you a job? You might be brilliant but sure are an idiot wrt social media etiquette. You probably got beat up a lot in school to didn't you?

Rubbish!
I call out Trinis here and IRL for their obsession with all things Murican.
American Issues, people, politics that have no bearing whatsoever to their/your reality.
Trinis calling themselves republican or democrat supporters. Craziness.
Some floundering trinis are so indoctrinated by American media nonsense that they now believe that dem is murican too.
Brainwashed.
Self-intervention is needed to realign your narrative.
Lemme see you or your misguided ilk start a thread on this nah:^^^India BTW. Is that geopolitical enough for you or not murican enough?"Denying an unmarried woman the right to a safe abortion violates her personal autonomy and freedom", observed the Supreme Court on Thursday

You make it seem that it's only America we speak about. Tuners have discussed geopolitical and other events in India, Venezuela, UK, Africa, Middle East, China, Japan, and currently Russia with their war in Ukraine.
America is the #1 superpower in the world located in the western hemisphere together with T&T so therefore within their sphere of influence. That is also why you will see a disproportionate number of cheds that talk about the US. Whatever happens in the US whether political, economical, social, etc affects us in some form. Also keep in mind that there are tuners who were born in the US, have families there or even living there taking part in the discussions.
You can call out all you want but you keep looking like a fool for doing so, especially since you were the creator of the Joe Biden ched... that's really Murica of you.

Its not completely illegal -
Abortion is only permitted if it will:
- Save the life of the woman
- Preserve physical and or mental health
But it is more stringent of a law than even some red states in the US.

It's not enforced at all here is the difference. There, they are more actively trying to put people in prison.

justheretoreadthecomments wrote:Backyard abortion is risky business, for both the medical practitioner and the patient, and like everything else that's illegal, there are means to getting whatever goods or services you want, however, there are repercussions if and when you get caught. The punishment for a woman who has an abortion is four years in prison, and the punishment for a doctor or other person who performs the procedure is the same. Just a few years ago, one Dr Ronald Budhooram was charged for manslaughter after performing abortion on a patient. Re Dizzy28, noted... yea, there are certain exemptions but when I say it is illegal, I refer to the fact that a woman cannot just up and decide to get an abortion for a pregnancy just because she doesn't want a baby, even in pregnancies that were a result of rape. A woman cannot opt out for social or financial reasons, or even fetal impairment. So was simply pointing out the irony that trinis are outraged on social media, branding it a step back into the past, when our laws locally are far more restrictive.

The T&T Guardian Media investigated this by sending a woman to a local pharmacy where she was able to purchase misoprostol for US$35. The woman said she had no difficulty doing so without a prescription, but simply asked for it and was given instructions for how to use it.

Voters in Kansas rejected a proposed state constitutional amendment Tuesday that would have said there was no right to an abortion in the state, according to The Associated Press. Kansas was the first state to vote on abortion rights since the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson's Women's Health Organization.
President Joe Biden hailed Tuesday's vote and called on Congress to pass a law to restore nationwide abortion rights that were provided by Roe.

Strongest support for abortion—within limits: An Associated Press/NORC poll in June found 87% support abortion when the woman’s life is in danger, 84% support exceptions in the case of rape or incest, and 74% support abortion if the child would be born with a life-threatening illness.
When abortion support drops: The further into the pregnancy, with AP/NORC finding 61% believe abortion should be legal during the first trimester, but only 34% in the second trimester and 19% in the third, and an April Wall Street Journal poll finding more Americans approve of 15-week abortion bans than disapprove.
Partisan split—but not in all cases: Democrats are statistically far more likely to support abortion rights than Republicans, with Quinnipiac finding in September that only 39% of Republicans believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases versus 89% of Democrats—though 70% and 76% of Republicans support exceptions for rape and incest and when the mother’s life is at risk, respectively.
