PS4 pro or PS5 ( digital or disc ) ????

For the gamers here, what's the difference in terms of benefits and advantages in comparison to disadvantages ( if any ) with both ?

The users are kids ages 8 & 10 and they're into Fortnite and Minecraft mainly ?

Other than the cost difference and having a 4k tv, which would you go with???

OP don't waste your money as someone that moved from a pro to a PS5 disk...trust me it not worth it. Please remember the games they are making now are still for both PS4 and PS5 the difference is purely cosmetic at this time so you really not missing out. Seeing as it is for little children they probably wouldn't notice either. If I were you , I would buy or if you have one already keep the pro due the fact that Sony is keeping the ps4 until 2025. Which means that games will be produced for such until then. I bought the disk version due to personal preference I like to see my games and if it have a sale on online I would occasionally purchase now and then but I prefer having the best of both worlds than simply limiting myself

I was quoting what OP said Duane, he is buying it for his 8 and ten year old to play fortnite....so they wouldn't notice the graphical upgrade

Kinda hard justifying a high power console purchase to pay low powered games or freemium PC titles though. Better off building a decent gaming PC.
Them battle royale games for the most part free on PC.

Can't say as I only familiar with my 20K build, but that will last longer than a console generation and was built for upgrades.
Even my previous machine, a Dell XPS lasted 2 console generations till it got retired as a work from home backup PC.

a well spec computer can outlast a console generation, but not necessarily a console.

OP say is for children who playing Minecraft and Fortnite though.
Maybe he is a money man like Duane and Anand but that purchase on the same level as buying an Aventador to daily drive like is a Hyundai Matrix.

2 years later, at it again. Should I stick to ps4 or ps5 now. Boys are now 10 and 12 and same level gaming lol.

get the ps5

what i actually find makes the biggest difference between ps4 and ps5 game versions is the more precise rumble feedback on the controller in ps5 versions. play the AstroBot game that is included with it - very good demo of the controller features. the springs feel like actual springs in your hand. different items and effects feel different. driving games you can feel the ground feedback better, etc. That feature adds a whole extra sensory experience compared to the ps4 version.
