Small ting, wasa has taken note of this and has strategically allowed many leaks to prosper within pos and environs that anyone with a cup or a bucket can assist in fire fighting activities.

Thats small thing. You should find out how many fires, burning buildings etc are extinguished by an officer before during his training. Also find out how many times they practice with the jaws of life. The answer you get may allow you to spend all kinda $ on fire supression/prevention stuff.

I'm pretty sure the ttfs is being intentionally mismanaged to pass some big contract with a financier for supplies

The fire officers close to by me enjoy all 4's and football on a daily basis. They wash their cars as well and have work out sessions too.

You ever see fire officers, regiment, air guard and coast guard officers with dirty cars? Thats a nice government job to have if you have 5 O levels. Best part is, when sirens on, you get to legitimately skip traffic and the uniform can land you multiple baby mamas.

What stress?

Nice government job yuh say.

For most of dry season you seeing the fire fighters all over in the bush fighting wildfires in the hot sun .

Plus all the gore they have to deal with when responding to accidents

Seeing all those mangled bodies and persons dying right in front of them can't be easy

Everyone sees what occurs in the downtime but not when they risking their lives with substandard broken down equipment. Its not their fault that they not getting the necessary equipment. Being from another first responder agency Ive worked alongside those guys and they try their utmost best to save buildings and lives with what they have.

Ramkissoon had said in an interview with Phillip, that they respond to 5000 calls a year.
That's a lot.

I have a relative in the TTFS, yes depending on the location assigned there will be downtime but when that alarm ring, you don’t know what you going to meet on that callout.

Good to see all the 9-5 workers who pushing buttons complaining about down time Yes . It’s obviously a management issue with finances. Higher ups and government officials are to blame.

Better than them being overweight and unable to move quickly. Ever had to remove an injured person from a wreck where one bad move could kill them?

Did a research paper on this. Ppl usually call when the fire is usually well alight. They call 990 (fire control) , control then has to call the station. This takes time. Then traffic , not everyone pulls aside for them to pass. Some tenders are big and can't fit in certain roads. Go on YouTube and see how fast fire burns certain elements. Is better the firemen stay downtime because when they responding it means someone in distress. Hope it is not those who complaining
