Prigozhin has no military training at all. The only fighting he's ever done is holding a spatula while threatening an angry customer. But he is a great Russian military commander.

True, but it could also be a disinformation tactic to lull the AFU in to false sense of security.

Do not trust anything coming from these Russians

Prigozhin does not have military training. That's fact. He does have gulag time, though.

Many of the Wagner commanders lack any true military training. Although, most of them do share one thing: prison time.

Not debating that, but right now Bakhut is being shelled and burnt to hell with phosphorous bombs. Definitely doesn't seem like the actions of an army about to withdraw or one that has an ammunition shortage.... :|

I believe that we are speaking about two different things. I don't believe that Ukraine is withdrawing from Bakhmut for one reason: to show that Wagner lacks effectiveness.

Ukraine launches snatched-flag offensive operation.

Did the Russian representative try to snatch the flag?

Russia's economy is suffering from an industrial decline as Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine drags on, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing data from the European Space Agency's Sentinel-5P satellite.

The bird's eye view on Russia — courtesy of the Troposphereic Monitoring Instrument, which detects gases like nitrogen dioxide, ozone, methane and more — shows that the volume of air pollutants emitted by the country's factories has declined.

Analysts have grown increasingly skeptical about official data coming out of the Kremlin, and the government limited what data is released to the public since Russia invaded Ukraine last year.

Still, the satellite data offers a picture that cannot be easily obscured.

Right next door to Russia and Belarus:
Canada and Latvia will begin training Ukrainian soldiers on Latvian soil starting next week, Defence Minister Anita Anand said. Latvian Defence Minister Ināra Mūrniece joined Power & Politics Thursday to discuss efforts to boost NATO's presence in her country in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine war: Russia battles armed group in border region

An armed group has crossed from Ukraine into Russia's Belgorod region and clashes there have injured a number of people, Russian authorities say.

Local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Russian forces were searching for "saboteurs", who he said had attacked Grayvoronsky district by the border.

Vladimir Putin's spokesman said the Russian president had been informed.

Ukraine denies responsibility and said Russian citizens from two paramilitary groups were behind the incursion.

BRICS is an alliance of convenience.
South Africa has the world's highest murder rate for a large country (3rd overall), they also have the world's highest unemployment rate and some of the world's worst income inequality
Brazil is a large country with barely any regional power projection
Russia is currently bogged down fighting a nothingness war that has them utilizing tanks from the 1960s. Their military will not recover any time soon and thier arms industry is probably facing a huge question in export markets.

That leaves China and India. Two nuclear armed countries distrustful of each other.
Chinese maps claim around 30,000kms of Kashmir (Aksai Chin) and the entirety of the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
India is a member of the Quad which has an aim of countering China in the Indo Pacific region.

That relationship is built on a shaky foundation, so it depends how much they will be willing to support each other in their anti-western agenda. They already making moves to destabilise the dollar as the defacto standard of trade inside their house no?

They are not blood brothers. They dint want to dominate the world, they dint care to oust thr nato western countries out of power.

Thr alliance is mainly to get out of trade with USd, so that they can circumnavigate US sanctions.
Once they hafe enough economies willing to NOT use the USd, they will okay.

It will be seen as "shaky" from western mindset, because it reslly is just a mesns to an end... With tur end being NOT all encompassing, like what America tries to impose.

Each csn do whatever in their on state, so long as trade remains outside of USd.

Eu, nato will still be dominant economies, 8s only smsller African states may opt to join in. They will hsge large numbers of members, but smaller by economic/gdp value.

The power of the US will cease when the embassy of the USA in all of the BRICS countries no longer has those countries best and brightest lined up for H1-B visas.

Just because I saw it this morning..back to my point about Brazil being a mere paper tiger. At the G7 last week Lula intentionally ignored Zelensky in such an awkward manner when everyone else was greeting him. The planned meeting between Brazil and Ukraine also never happened.

Modi on the other hand shaked Zelensky's hand and held a face to meeting with him as well during the G7. India and Modi understands that to be a global player you have to engage with everyone. Brazil is content with picking a side and staying with it.

^ India has repeatedly expressed discomfort with Moscow's war. Despite not voting against Russia at the UN they have issued statements of concern about diplomacy, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

WRT to NATO mannerisms China and India want to be global powers. China has economic might to do it alone.

India on the other hand needs allies and will play with all sides. Prior to the war Ukraine housed a large number of Indian students and India was one of Ukraine's largest seed oil markets. And although India has the special relationship with Russia that hasn't stopped them from increasing military spend from western nations. From C17s to Rafales and Apaches the West is increasing in importance to India.

In Modi and Jaishankar India has the perfect people to nurture both sides.
