If the case had merit, don't ya think that at least one or two independents woulda swing a yes?
Seems like it was just a timewasting exercise under the guise of legitimacy?

24 members voted for the Motion, 47 voted against, no abstentions.
All govt voted no, all opposition voted yes, all independents voted no.
The independent senators appointment by the president are independent.
Yea right.

Even between 2010 - 2015? This requires serious investigation.

So independent senators are "yes men/women" because the Pres appointed them?
I'm just curious what the perception is.

I disagree with my boss all the time, it can be done respectfully. Integrity is one thing that I'll never compromise, and if a similiar situation arose where my impartiality/integrity would be questioned, I'd quicker walk.

The independent senators voted on a motion where they facts and evidence wasn't put on the parliamentary record.
A debate would have ensured that.
How are they so confident to vote NO?
Preconceived thoughts from where?
All of them are red losers.

The Independent bench also includes the sister of a key party in this whole issue. Charisse sister or Bliss.

Its not unfeasible for her to canvass the remaining Independents who all are PMW appointees anyhows. This is Trinidad nothing less than ethical is not realistic

Zoom,

The can of worms opened long time bro.

A precedent set by Kamla is no precedent.

We need people on board who can take action, not just talk up in their ass and lead on the public.

The motion is based on whether the Prez did chit or not.
Not the actions of the PSC.....

That said if I were her I would have abstained...to prove the point, not like it was even close.

We have to accept that the vast majority of the electoral college did not think a tribunal was necessary.
The debate would have just been the unc trying the matter under parliamentary cover.

We need more important and relevant people to file motions.

There should be NO room for incompetency.

I find she should just stay quiet and let PNM do the population what they so desire.
She is actually fighting really hard for the average citizens. Even the powder necks.

I agree. But if she do that then people go say she not doing her job. You can't win with these so called "independent" people and organizations in Trinidad.

There is no right to a debate...it's a vote.
That's what the speaker read out at the outset....rules that govern this process.

Seems that the UNC made themselves irrelevant at this stage as well.

Then the precedent has been set for future governments when holding a motion of no conference.

I hope future opposition members remember this precedent that was set by the red government.

Ahhhhh now we talking.

We have to determine who can file motions and what their competency level is.

Can’t file a motion, fail, and then ask who can file a motion bro.
