Legality in selling firearm accessories

Postby platinumedition » September 10th, 2021, 10:24 pm

I have a question. Is it illegal to sell firearms accessories without a firearm dealers license. Accessories such as holsters, rubber grips, sights etc. Not the actual weapon, physically parts of weapons, magazines or ammunition.

I have read the firearms act but it doesn't make reference to actual aftermarket add ons and accessories so seeking further guidance.

I know that holsters, cleaning kits, grips all come through customs without issue.
Meaning bought off Amazon and shipped to skybox.
Sights and other things that are involved in the operation of the firearm are better dealt with by a
talk to your courier service and see what the present situation is.

It’s not illegal to sell . Port Rock is one of the many dealers here who sell those items.

not really

ANYTHING firearm related, if customs notices it, they will bond it and you have to go with your FUL to customs house in pos to retrieve it yourself

it really depends on what its classified as when its shipped

if it labelled as "carrying case" or "case" rather than "holster", more than likely it will come through and be cleared normal. its really hit and miss

plenty grips does come in as "plastic accessory" and does just pass through

brought in some concealed carry jackets/jerseys and like 8/10 pass through and 2 had to go be cleared.

this is with skybox and random clearing eh

if you paying a broker its a different scene on the whole

As more FULs are issued, it will make it bad for others.

I have said many times that too many Trinis with FULs will cause a problem later down the road.

Especially these newbie FUL holders are ordering holsters, firearm components and accessories and making FALSE declarations on the description with the hope and intent to evade clearing it at the customs bond.

STOP lying by indicating the INCORRECT item descriptions like “Case” and “Holder” etc to blatantly “mamaguy” the Customs officer with the intent to “wing it” to have it conveniently delivered to your door step.

Anything firearm related, must be cleared by the FUL
Holder with their FUL or a letter from the COP.

Some of allyuh don’t even have a provisional or may never be issued one but buying accessories before even approved. Poor courier driver don’t even know any better. They are only suppose to deliver the letter to you to take for clearing yourself.

The law specifically states that accessories must be compatible with the firearm(s) approved in the FUL and the only way to determine that is when you go to collect and present your documents.

Good information. However, where is this stated. It's not in the customs act or firearms act. I've read both. So can you guide me to this law please.

I was able to ship some accessories including a red dot optic through websource and had it delivered directly without having to go to customs personally. Just needed to email them pics of the FUL beforehand.
The one item that couldn't be shipped ironically was a simple foregrips, apparently US customs had an issue with it and not local customs according to them.

Send them an email first with the link to what scope you want to buy and they will tell you if you can bring it in after you send them pics of your FUL. I brought in a red dot though so not too sure about scopes.
They also want to see the type of firearm listed on the FUL so you can't bring in a holster if you have a shotgun etc. I don't know if an air rifle permit could work to bring an air rifle scope

lol that’s why i asked

scopes are scarce and sold at serious black market prices by certain individuals who don’t seem associated with regular gun dealers

An air rifle scope is not a firearm Scope.

The operating system of these scopes are not the same.

Air rifle scopes are built for foward forces where as firearm scopes are built for reverse forces. You can damage these scopes internally if they are not used as intended
