Its unbelievable how much hate MBJ is getting on the wokest of Trini places - Twitter.
There is even a petition asking him to change the name.
Several things became clear from reading all those tweets -
- A lot of ppl unclear as to how copyright laws actually work
- People become woke for some of the weirdest sheit

MBJ using the word with no cultural ties to Trinidad should teach the woke ones that cultural appropriation is not a white phenomenon.

So called cultural appropriation is a joke. Persons are free to utilise and partake of anything they have a fancy for. It doesn't matter where and from who it originated.

If Trinis don't like so called cultural appropriation then they why aren't they solely wearing clothing that originated from whatever background they originated from?
